The industry is fiercely competitive both at the global scale and at the local domestic scale. Companies that can effectively manage procurement, just-in-time delivery, and relationships with third-party suppliers will be able to control their own costs, score win-win solutions with partners, ensure business continuity, and ultimately develop a core competency that underpins competitive advantage and better prices and service for customers. For these reasons, trained and skilled logistics and supply chain managers are in demand in Uganda and globally. 
Program Rationale

The increased growth in our economy and global growth of international trade has necessitated training a group of procurement professionals who will manage our organization in the procurement and logistics Field. Post Graduate Diploma in procurement and logistics management program will equips graduates with skills and knowledge in Inventory and warehouse management, legal aspects of procurement, transport and distribution, public procurement, management and organizational theory.
